Once the base was added to The Museum, they discovered that there was a hidden section of the Museum for bases not ready to be put on display, which included Block Game Mecca and The Boedecken. They created a fake base and placed a sign at bedrock level containing NTB data that, when executed, would give them admin access to the Museum server. Soon after, however, AlphaComputer and AutismBot was able to gain admin access on the Museum server. However, it could not be proven that he had griefed the bases, with the Museum staff defended Beardler and the members of Block Game Mecca and The Boedecken apologized for the accusations. Once an investigation was launched, many suspicious facts lead the members of both bases to suspect that Beardler, who was an admin on The Museum, was responsible for both griefs. Initially, it was thought that jared2013 had griefed both bases, but he denied responsibility. On June 1st, 2017, the day after the finale of the Month of Destruction, Block Game Mecca was griefed. In late May 2017, near the end of jared2013's Month of Destruction, the Boedecken was griefed. In response to this grief, the Museum admins removed Rocket Town from the Museum, although it was re-added sometime later.Īlmost a year after the Summermelon drama, the second scandal to plague The Museum was the BoeMeccan Witch Trials. However, tomah was never a member of Summermelon and did not have coordinates to the base, causing speculation that Fit had other motives. However, much of the community did not take the accusation seriously, viewing it as Fit just being angry over them taking much of Project Vault's collection.Īfter Fit griefed Summermelon in July of 2017, he claimed that he griefed the base because tomah54660, the owner of the Museum, was basing there with Offtopia, and that he had leaked Fit's base Rocket Town. After the Museum's opening, Fit, a former Project Vault member, claimed that the admins (aka Curators) of the Museum were storing player IP addresses. The Museum went public on June 14th, 2017.ĭrama began almost immediately after the Museum's launch due to much of its collection being copied from the Project Vault collection, angering many of the members. The Museum was created by Offtopia and tomah54660 (aka jddinger) via collecting public world downloads, as well as world downloading everything from Project Vault. The goal of the museum was to collect and preserve as much of 2b2t's build history as possible for future players to visit. It was created to showcase not only the most iconic builds of 2b2t, but also some of the smaller and newer builds. The Museum was a server that housed world downloads of 2b2t bases and places.
